A planned collection of self-guided drives and hosted scenic tours that makes CR 91 Park Plaza the starting point and the welcome home for a day in the Talladega National Forest.

Experience in Development
The Plaza as Basecamp

One Stay. A Whole Landscape to Explore.

The idea is simple. Guests stay at CR 91, head out with a reliable route plan, spend the day exploring, and return to the Plaza for dinner, rest, and hospitality. It gives guests one more reason to stay longer and connects the property to the remarkable landscape around it.

Routes will be built around current public-access information, seasonal conditions, and the Forest Service motor vehicle use map, so every outing is memorable, well prepared, and responsible.

Choose Your Pace

Drive It Yourself.
Or Let the Story Lead.

01

Self-Guided Trail Drives

Planned route packs will help properly equipped guests choose an outing, understand the terrain, and get back to CR 91 without piecing the day together on their own.

  • Current route and closure checks
  • Difficulty and vehicle guidance
  • Suggested stops and turnaround points
  • Start and return planning from the Plaza
02

Scenic & History Ride

A planned hosted ride offers a more relaxed way to see the forest, its overlooks, and the region's stories, with no driving required.

  • Planned vintage-style tour vehicles
  • Scenic stops and local storytelling
  • Seasonal daytime and evening departures
  • Round trip from CR 91 Park Plaza
A Route With Real Character

Forest Roads. Mountain Views. A 29-Mile Scenic Drive.

Forest Service Roads 600-1 and 600-2 are being evaluated as possible high-clearance segments. For guests who prefer an easier pace, the 29-mile Talladega Scenic Drive follows the forest's mountain ridgeline.

Prepared for the Trail. Respectful of the Forest.
